Tex is the Journey of Hope's first male rider, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. His motto in life is to use and enjoy his talents to the fullest in Christ.
As the first man to join the Journey of Hope ride, it is important for Tex to raise awareness that breast cancer is not gender specific. He hopes to change the perception that only women get breast cancer and he also set a pace for other man to follow in creating awareness. "

Funds raised from Rider fundraising initiatives are used for awareness and education campaigns of the importance of early detection, as well as to provide support to people with breast cancer in less fortunate areas.
